On February 3, 2021, just after midnight, a patrol officer noticed that a vehicle’s registration was expired as of 2016 and conducted a traffic stop for the violation in the area of Colorado St and Jackson St. The officer contacted the driver of the vehicle, identified as 62-year-old Stephen Barlow of Burbank, regarding the violation. A records check of Barlow revealed that his license was suspended and that he had multiple warrants out for his arrest, one of which was a no bail warrant.
During a search of the vehicle, officers located a loaded 12-gauge shotgun. A records check of the shotgun’s serial number revealed it was unregistered. Barlow was subsequently arrested and booked for being a felon in possession of a firearm and for his outstanding warrants.
